Today, as we start our 70th anniversary year, the staff and Directors of the Jaguar Drivers’ Club hope that all our members will have a happy, healthy and prosperous 2026. This year we are celebrating the founding of the Club in 1956 and, to mark the occasion, we are today launching a new logo which we will use throughout the year.
Our main event of this very special year will be our National Weekend at Brooklands Museum on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 July, and if these dates are not already in your diaries, then please pencil them in now. We have reserved rooms at two excellent hotels nearby – Brooklands and Oatlands Park – for the Saturday night, with a celebratory dinner at Oatlands that evening, prior to the main event on Sunday at the Museum.
Our new logo will be featured on a set of limited-edition clothing and merchandise, which will go on sale in the next few months and be available throughout the year, including at Brooklands.
The Club is not immune to the effects of inflation and from 1 January we have implemented a modest increase to our membership fees, while at the same time simplifying our whole membership structure. You will find full details on the website and in the magazine, which is available online from today (1 January) although, due to technical issues beyond our control over the Christmas period, the printed magazine will arrive approximately one week late.
This change in membership structure brings new benefits to our members, including full access to the website from 1 January. This will allow every one of you to delve into our newly digitalised magazine archive, which includes every issue of Jaguar Driver since it was first published in 1958. And that’s not all because over the next few months we will be delivering other membership benefits through the website, including more information-based services, online ticketing for events and member-discounted ticket prices for Brooklands.
The staff and Directors are putting together what will be a busy, fun-packed year for our members and their families as we celebrate 70 years of our great Club, and we look forward to meeting as many of you as possible during this landmark year.
